Meet Louisa Reyez

Find Louisa Reyez in The Well at a corner between the MedBay and the elevator to MAST tram station.

Louisa is trying to isolate a power drain. Louisa mistakes you for her co-worker Carl, as Carl has not shown up. Unfortunately, it is a two person job: one person to manually access various junction boxes, while another person monitors the system remotely.

As there is only a small chance of electrocution, offer to help. Louisa leaves for the monitoring station, the next door west from your current positon.

First Box

Using your handscanner ('f'), follow the path through the passage with the red exit sign above it. Pass Kay's House, then go left in front of the UC Security Office. Pass UC Surplus to the left and a New Atlantis Information kiosk to the right. The junction box is on the wall ahead, between a tank and a locked door.

When you are close to it, Louisa will contact you via radio. Open the panel door and flip the switch.

Second Box

Turn around and pass UC Surplus again. Before reaching Kay's House, turn left toward the Trade Authority. The House of the Enlightened is on the left and Apex Electronics is on the right. Go into the alley between Apex and Trade Authority, then turn left up the stairs. Turn right and go up another flight of stairs. You are in front of a red door with a switch to your right. Use the switch to open the door and go left. You are in front of another red door with a switch on a column in front of it. Use the switch to open the door, go up the stairs, and follow them to the right. The junction box is behind the yellow door ahead.

When you are close to the door, Louisa will contact you via radio again. Open the yellow door, open the panel door, and flip the switch.

Nota Bene: The adventurous may continue down the hallway to a novice locked door on the right, where Topher Ugowat and a Robot Model S named Big Bruno may be found.

Third box

Turn around and go down the stairs again. If the red door is closed, there is a switch on this side of it too. At the crossing go left, down the stairs. Pass the playing children on your left and Jake's on your right. The junction box is at the end of the alley, on the left side of the wall.

As always, when you are close to the panel Louisa will contact you via radio. Open the panel door and flip the switch.

Louisa mentions that the next box is near the Trade Authority, and she suggest that you don't talk to anyone there yet.

Fourth box

Turn around and go into the alley behind Jake's to your left. Go down the double stairway, go right behind the MedBay, and go through the passway with the red exit sign above it. Turn right when you leave the passage and pass Apex Electronics to your right and the House of the Enlightened to your left. Turn left behind the House of the Enlightened. Ahead and slightly to the left of you a passage leads to a staircase. Go up the staircase, around the bend, and up the second staircase. You are in front of a leaning fence. Go left, up another staircase, and turn right. Open the door in front of you, go through, and Louisa will radio in again.

The junction box is behind the yellow door. To open it, you need to deal with a series of breakers first. Louisa doesn't remember the order the breakers have to be switched, so you need to figure it out.

There are four electrical panels to the left and four control lights on the wall behind the glass. Each panel controls two lights. (The lights controlled by each switch are random.) When all four lights are green, the yellow door will open. Go through the door, open the panel door, and flip the switch.

Louisa would like you to come to the monitoring station.

Monitoring Station

Turn around, retrace your steps past the four breakers on your right, and go down the stairs you came up. Go ahead and go right into the door with the yellow markings in front of it. Go down the two stairs, turn right at the House of the Enlightened with Apex Electronics to your left. Before you reach Kay's House, go left through the passage with the red exit sign above. Pass the MedBay to your left, go ahead at the crossing, and take the first door on your left. Go up the stairs. Louisa waits for you in the monitoring station.

Louisa now knows that the power drain is at the Trade Authority as she feared. She goes there to deal with that, and would welcome your further assistance.

Notes

• Any text displayed in angle brackets (e.g., <Alias=LocationHold>) is dynamically set by the Radiant Mission system, and will be filled in with the appropriate word(s) when seen in game.
• Not all entries may appear in your log; which entries appear and which entries do not depends on the manner in which the mission is done.
• Stages are not always in order of progress. This is usually the case with missions that have multiple possible outcomes or missions where certain tasks may be done in any order. Some stages may therefore repeat objectives seen in other stages.
• If an entry is marked as "Finishes Mission" it means the mission disappears from the Active Mission list, but you may still receive new entries for that mission.
• On the PC, it is possible to use the console to advance through the mission by entering setstage City_NA_Well01 stage, where stage is the number of the stage you wish to complete. It is not possible to un-complete (i.e. go back) mission stages, but it is possible to clear all stages of the mission using resetquest City_NA_Well01.
