Yalcin Tower

Yalcin Corp is a mega-corporation focused on mining and governing parts of the Sirius System.

Yalcin Corp is specialized in Mining all sorts of raw materials, supplying a big part of the raw materials needed in the settled systems. Besides its mining operations it holds direct control over Sirius II and Sirius II-a, where all of its facilities are located.

History

Yalcin Corp was founded in 2274, as a neutral supplier to both the United Colonies and the Freestar Collective. Ivan Yalcin was granted the rights to become the sole exploiter of Sirius II, after inheriting his parent’s mining company at a young age. Not long after this, Yalcin City was established as the base of their operations.
After Sergej Yalcin succeeded to the throne, the Corporation became more collectivist and authoritarian, both to the disdain and admiration of parts of the employee base, which has led to a deeply divided and tense atmosphere in the Sirius system.

Succession and way of operating

As has been the case for centuries, the Yalcin family values traditions and always makes sure that when the current head of the company steps down, the leadership goes to their oldest child, this has made sure that the power stays in the family.
As the corporation now not only controls mines, but whole societies, the Yalcins have been clinging more to their traditions than ever before. To make sure the oldest child is ready to serve the corp as a leader, it gets trained for this from the very start of their life, which results in a very strict upbringing.

The main faction of peacekeepers in Sirius, acts as a local police force.

Yalcin Elite Unit

The special forces of Yalcin Corp, discusses and carries out broad strategies and secret operations. As of 2330, this unit’s primary focus is keeping the threat the resistance poses under control.
